General Information

Grha Sabha Pramana (GSP) is a multipurpose convention building owned by Universitas Gadjah Mada, with management handed over to **UGM Residence** in March 2015.

This building, featuring a traditional Javanese joglo-style roof, was constructed in 1994 and officially inaugurated during the 46th UGM Dies Natalis on December 19, 1995. The building serves as a central location for both **academic activities** (such as graduations, seminars/workshops) and **non-academic events** (such as music performances, art shows, and wedding receptions).

Building Structure and Capacity

Grha Sabha Pramana (GSP) consists of 2 floors: the ground floor and the second floor, which is the Main Hall.

  • Ground Floor: Features several smaller rooms functioning as meeting rooms with limited capacity.
  • Second Floor (Main Hall): This is a large auditorium equipped with a stage on the North side and spectator stands (tribunes) on the East, West, and South sides.

The total estimated capacity of the Main Hall (Second Floor) for graduation ceremonies is up to **5,000 people**.

Note on Renovation (Historical)

In 2017, Grha Sabha Pramana underwent ceiling repairs, limiting its use for the public and the academic community until April 2018.
